This home plate replica is a product of Activision. It is both a detailed display and an interactive audio memory scrapbook of early 2000s baseball stats as read by Stuart Scott. There is great detail on the figures and the home plate area. Each figure has a unique chip in it, when inserted into the batters box and each time a button is pressed it plays 4 to 5 of Scott’s comments on each player. This set comes with two baseball legends of the early 2000s , Barry Bonds of the Giants, and Alex Rodriguez when he was playing for the Texas Rangers. An example of one phrase is « In October 2001, Bonds shattered Mark McGuire’s home run record with 73 home runs. » The fine print: Stadium appears to be missing the upper light bar, see photo. Bonds bat is a little crooked, don’t want to try and fix it. This item takes 3 AA batteries and it plays right now as you can hear on the video. This is a 25 year old piece of electronics that may or may not play for you or for a long time. It display well even if the recordings eventually fail.
