OFFERED is a custom lot of vintage Thomas Wooden Railway pieces: double-face engine Culdee in his original version and deeper shade of purple, folding Forklift, Forklift Flatbed, Apple Cargo Car, PIE-SCENTED apple-cargo piece, five segments of Clickity Clack Track, and three original-style apple trees, each in two pieces. The tree series is a beauty, showing the tree in three seasons. The collapsible Forklift with magnetized “forks” is a nifty bit of engineering. And yes, the cargo apples actually smell like apples. These are classic Learning Curve pieces, from the golden age of TWR. Quality is superior to today’s Fisher Price product. CONDITION Train cars and trees and straightaway are near mint; slightest surface wear only. Finishes still glossy. Faces and livery still crisp. Apple cargo still has fragrance. The four track curves have seen active duty. (See pointer photos.) Presumbaly they were in someone’s semi-permanent layout; they have some pin nail holes. I have removed the nails. One has a mild chip from its female connector; works fine. OUR HOME hosts one boy and two cats, plus a part-time rabbit. He’s always a rabbit (and proud to be), but he’s not always here.
